Our inaugural ride raised $30,000 toward the Cancer Centre and our executive committee has already voted to continue the event with the Second Annual HOG Motorcycle Ride in 2008, Sevink says. "We were impressed with Jim Szeman and his team at The Foundation, and we're hoping our new partnership with them will grow the ride on an annual basis."

We are 20 Years Old! and proud of it! This year marks the 20th anniversary of Durham Hog - Chapter #9237 - It was 20 years ago on January 14th, 1988 that we got our charter. I cannot even imagine the lives that this chapter has changed and to CELEBRATE the anniversary - We are having a Party for all CHAPTER members.

The event has been sponsored by Mackie Harley-Davidson and will be held at Don Cherry's (Kendlewood Plaza in Whitby) - We will have door prizes - and a live band as well as a large portion of our members. We are also having a rivet made for the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. Wisconsin that will show how proud we are and be on display for MILLIONS of other Harley Owners to see! Please make sure that you attend our Anniversary Party and show your true colours...

After many concepts I have been working on... I turned to my son James for assistance. And Voila! The new durhamhog.com. It's created and formatted using a blog for information feeds! As the "executive" determines - Members will be able to update "durhamhog.com" on the fly! That's right! This will change by members changing it - without harming the actual website! You'll find that we have a variety of things here. A User Forum that allows all the members to get involved and contact, setup daily/weekly trips. A place where things can be discussed in a forum approach. How about an on-line active event Calendar - We've added that as well! This includes not only the event posting - But details of where when why and even a click to Map that shows the location of the event so that there is no confusion as to where it is. We have kept the Link to Jules's Photo Slide shows! They are great and a well liked addition! We've added flicker! Photo's so that ALL the members can get their photo's on-line with waiting for anyone! Just send them to the group - and Shazam! They are part of the site! We've added 2 countdown's on the main page that are self explanatory! We added a Safety Page that shows the proper use of Hand Signal to use in GROUP riding! and of course! and important 5 day weather forecaster! because although weather can't stop us hardcore - It does make a differance for our spectators! This is the start! More items will come as time allows! (Winter months!!)
